This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA.

Hours are Monday-Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM; Saturdays as needed (maximum of two required 6 AM - 12 PM).


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Install burner, mount panels, and controls, fabricating brackets and supports as needed
  • Perform wiring between burner, control panel and controls, in accordance with diagrams and/or instruction manuals. Bend and install conduit when required
  • Obtain blueprints and any special instructions to install auxiliary equipment such as feed pumps, oil heater, chemical feeders, injectors, etc. including piping and wiring of same and any brackets or hangers
  • Uses various hand tools as needed

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Control wiring
, conduit, and piping experience

  • Ability to read blueprints and/or diagrams a plus

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception. Required to enter boiler through 16" diameter rear access.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
