- Assumes overall responsibility for operating the Center
- Oversees development, direction, and administration of all program activities of the Center under stated purposes and to ensure compliance with established requirements and requirements of various oversight organizations.
- Implements the general policies as formulated by the Board of County Commissioners and the Associate District Judge.
- Provides information and leadership to the Associate District Judge and the Board of County Commissioners to be alert to changing community needs and to modify Center programs and policies accordingly.
- Prepares and presents contracts to the Associate District Judge and Board of Commissioners.
- Prepares budgets and presents them for review and approval by the Associate District Judge and the Board of County Commissioners.
- Administers budget and maintains accurate financial records.
- Is responsible for the finances of the Center, including the billing and receipts of the county and state funds.
- Oversees the recruitment, employment, orientation, assignment, evaluation, promotion, and discharge of Center staff.
- Explores and initiates new programs and services when appropriate.
- Makes continuous analysis and improvement of the total Center program in light of the needs of children and families in the community and the best-known principles and practices of service delivery.
- Other duties as designated by the Associate District Judge and Board of County Commissioners.
- A Bachelor's degree in Administration, Business, Counseling, Social Work, or closely related field AND at least three (3) years' experience in staff supervision and administration or working with juveniles and juvenile related programs.
- Preference will be given to those with a Master's degree in Administration, Business, Counseling, Social Work, or closely related field AND at least three (3) years' experience in staff supervision and administration or working with juveniles and juvenile related programs.
- Must pass a background check, drug, and alcohol screening
