    Description

    Under the supervision of the Safety Specialist III, this person will be responsible for the execution of the Safety Management System (SMS) Policies, programs, and procedures under the PDCA cycle. Enhancing the Safety Culture of client Employees and Contractors.

    Responsibilites:

    Maintain compliance with all applicable EHS regulations, client EHS Standards, and other requirements adopted by the business.

    Implement Annual Work Plans to achieve safety objectives and goals, with the approval of US SBU T&D EHS Manager.

    Active involvement in the Annual Program of Internal and External client EHS Audits, Assessments and Action. Plan follow up.

    Ensure hierarchy of controls in General Hazard Assessment and Risk Analysis, Job Hazard Analysis and Job Safety Analysis. Proactive participation in the Incident Management Program per client EHS Standards/OSHA. With a focus of reporting and investigating Non-Injury SIP events using TapRoot Methodology.

    Develop and deliver Health and Safety Orientation and training programs for client Indiana employees.

    Oversee the implementation of the Proactive Safety Program. Visit job sites and facilities to conduct Safety Walks, Work Activity Observations, Safety Inspections, and follow up in due time and form.

    Active participation in cross functional activities with client Ohio (T&D) EHS Team. Provide leadership and technical expertise for Health and Safety programs for client and Contractor Employees with a primary focus in the field. Health and Safety assignments / Special Projects.

    Additional Job Description

    Safety Reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

    Active role in Safety Day execution and in One on One calls/meetings with Team Leader of Health and Safety.

    Planning and execution of Safety Drill, according to the Emergency Action Plan. Control of Documents review, implementation, and control.

    Planning and implementation of General Safety Orientation for Contractors during Recovery Emergency Plan as a result of storms.
