    COME WORK WITH US as a STRUCTURAL ASSOCIATE ENGINEER in VENTURA. Situated 30 miles south of Santa Barbara, with a beautiful backdrop of the Los Padres National Forest foothills and the scenic Pacific Ocean, Ventura offers numerous miles of beaches and parks. Its Mediterranean climate provides year-round recreational and cultural activities.

    PROJECTS COVER Military and Aerospace, Commercial and Industrial Structures, Piers and Sea Walls, Foundations for Tanks and Equipment, Support Structures, Structural Assessments and Evaluations.

    JOB OVERVIEW As a Structural Associate Engineer, you'll be in charge of handling intricate design tasks independently. Your role involves designing and detailing structural elements for building permit submissions.


    STRUCTURAL ASSOCIATE ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Independently creates design plans for various engineering projects and supports project engineers in developing plans.
    • Conducts calculations for structural components and frameworks.
    • Prepares construction plans adhering to Cannon's standards.
    • Offers guidance and mentorship to project engineers.
    • Effectively communicates and collaborates with the team.
    • Coordinates with permitting authorities.
    • Manages multiple project budgets, schedules, and engineering tasks.
    • Assists in proposal development and estimates fees.
    • Cultivates strong relationships with clients.
    • Engages in professional and community initiatives for personal and company growth.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering.
    • 6+ years of experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing.
    • Thorough knowledge of the California Building Code.
    • Design expertise in various structural building systems.
    • Proficiency in engineering finite element design software.
    • AutoCAD proficiency is a must.
    • PE license required. SE license preferred.
