Icelandirect is a contract manufacturer and private label supplement company that makes high-quality premium fish oils supplements, vitamins nutritional, and fish oil emulsions in a variety of TG and EE concentrations.

We are a top omega product supplier in the United States. Our products are GMP-compliant and can be produced as emulsions supplements, powders, softgels, liquid-packaged, or capsules.

We deliver bulk materials orders and custom formulations. Many of our manufactured products are listed on Amazon and other high profile distribution channels.

Quality Control/Product Development Director


SUMMARY
The role is available at R&D assistant level.

It is to provide technical documentation support to new product innovations and launches within tinctures, emulsions, liposomal, oil blends, multivitamins, electrolytes, powder products as dietary supplements and Pet products.


SCOPE

  • Work closely with Product development Director, ensuring key projects are executed to the required standards for dietary supplements.
  • Support and organize project related documentation from both internal sources and 3 rd. party suppliers.
  • Contribute to project work ensuring all required formulation, laboratory, Bench top lab trials, Master formulation and new product Specifications preparation are performed on time and to the required standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education with a degree in applied science is preferred.
  • Experience and skills with organization, prioritization, problem solving, resource planning, and risk management.
  • Ability to both deliver independently and communicate in crossfunctional project teams.
  • Ability to display a degree of flexibility and adapt effectively to change.


  • Computer Skills

  • MS Office, Instrumentation software
  • Familiarity with good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and regulations for dietary supplements

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with guidance from R&D Director to develop formulations for a variety of dosage
  • Work with Purchasing team and R&D Directors to generate new formulation, Sourcing New/Existing raw material for Cost analysis and feasibility of formulation.
  • Maintain accurate project information, formulations, and specifications. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department in the development of proper documentation for new formula and product development projects.
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams including personnel in Sales, Quality Control, Purchasing, and Production on new product development and to resolve ingredient and product technical issues.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple Projects to achieve project deadlines.
  • Run and monitor bench top, pilot, and manufacturing scaleup and verification batches.
  • Manage R&D project activities by accurately collecting, recording, maintaining and reporting data.
  • Responsible for maintaining raw material samples inventory, location, and price by supplier.
  • Inventory for daytoday project activity.
  • Perform benchtop experiments and create new product samples.
  • Prepare documents and reports as instructed.
  • Maintain quality system records and collect documents.
  • Enter data into internal data systems, keep good record for traceability.
  • Communication with other departments to design and complete projects
  • Performs other duties as requested by senior management.
  • Validate Product information file, ingredients review, full formula, specifications, cautions / warnings, instructions, storage conditions,
  • Define and set specifications for new or reformulated products.
  • Advance multiple projects through the product development process.
  • Respond effectively and efficiently to changes in project priorities and needs.
  • Prepare relevant product specifications and internal documentation and ensure all are approved prior to full production startup.

Pay:
$70, $90,000.00 per year
