Chamber Executive Director (Part-Time)

Job Summary


The Executive Director is responsible for leading the daily operations, membership development, event planning, marketing, and community outreach efforts for the Buffalo Grove Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce.

This part-time position requires strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to promote the interests of the local business community effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the chamber's daytoday administrative operations, finances, and membership activities
  • Recruit new members and retain existing members through engagement and benefits programs
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute networking events, seminars, meetings, and other chamber functions
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase the chamber's visibility and value proposition
  • Maintain open communication with chamber members, community leaders, and local government officials
  • Identify sponsorship and advertising opportunities to generate nondues revenue
  • Manage the chamber's website, social media presence, newsletters, and other communication channels
  • Provide support to the Board of Directors and chamber committees as needed
  • Represent the chamber at community events and activities

Qualifications:


  • Experience in a chamber of commerce, nonprofit, or related role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital marketing tools
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for promoting local businesses

Benefits:


  • Hourly rate of $20$22 per hour;
