Neuron Health Systems is seeking a Director of Nursing to provide nursing care, in accordance with the patient's plan of care to include comprehensive health and psychosocial evaluation, monitoring of the patient's condition, health promotion and prevention coordination of services, teaching and training activities, and direct nursing care.

As a member of the Neuron Health Systems team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Consults, plans, and works with Administrator in policy formulation and programmatic development and implementation, including assessing adequate and appropriate staffing
  • Maintain high standards of care for all clients
  • Develops standards that ensure safe and effective services to patients and families
  • Provide individualspecific support and training
  • Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication
  • Keeps program personnel up to date with stateoftheart clinical information and practices staff development including orientation, inservice education, and continuing education
  • Maintains policy and procedure manuals and updates procedures and job descriptions, as policies and procedures change
  • Development of policies and guidelines for and obtaining input from service personnel and providing professional input to related administrative systems
  • Ensure nursing activities are in compliance with federal, state, and local standards
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations
  • Oversees the implementation and evaluation of patient care services inclusive of regulatory licensure and certification criteria and accreditation standards
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing service to the patient and family, on an ongoing basis
  • Coordination and liaison with appropriate parent, affiliate departments and committees
  • Interprets service needs to the Administrator and acts as a patient services administrative liaison
  • Perform admission, transfer, recertification, resumption of care, and discharge paperwork for the home care patient
  • Consult with the attending physician concerning alterations of Patient Care Plans
  • Consults and plans with health care facilities regarding staffing needs
  • Coordinate patient services
  • Oversees all CQI and utilization review activities
  • Assists with interviews and hires select home health care personnel
  • Assists in marketing the Firm and fostering community relations
  • Collaborates in the development of an effective and efficient patient care documentation system, including statistical compilation and analysis, relative to cost and staff service delivery
  • Cooperate with other agencies providing nursing or related services to provide continuity of care and to implement a comprehensive care plan
  • Directs and supervises professional and auxiliary personnel rendering patient care services
  • Performs marketing duties and fosters public relations for the company
  • Communicates the concept of quality patient care to the general community
  • Continually strive to improve his/her nursing care skills by attending inservice education, through formal education, attendance at workshops, conferences, active participation in professional and related organizations, and individual research and reading
  • Remains available during all hours that services are offered

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • 1 year nursing experience in home health care setting
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in home health care setting
