- Administrative related activities of the clinic that are not otherwise provided by the hospital or in cooperation with the department director and other clinic physicians;
- Assuring care meets or exceeds currently accepted standards of medical competence and is in accordance with currently approved methods of practice in physician's field;
- Exercising independent professional judgment with respect to care and treatment of all patients;

- Maintaining 90% completion of clinic medical records within 48 hours from time of service and 100% completion within 15 days of service. (EA)

- Recommends sufficient numbers of qualified and competent persons to provide care and treatment
- Determines qualifications and competence of clinic personnel who provide services and who are not licensed independent practitioners
- Continually assesses and improves performance of care and services provided
- Maintain quality control programs
- Orientates and provides continuing education of all persons in the clinic
- Recommends space and other resources needed by the clinic

QUALIFICATIONS:
A. M.D./D.O. licensed to practice medicine in the State of South Dakota and having current State and Federal Narcotics licensure.
B. ATLS Certified. Board certified in specialty within 2 years of residency completion.
C.
Constantly requires a high degree of social sensitivity and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, groups of clients, and health care personnel within and outside the organization.
Proceeds on own initiative and exercises independent judgment. Demonstrates leadership abilities; possesses good oral and written communication skills.WORKING CONDITIONS:
A.
Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and moderate lifting (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly) of clients and equipment.
B. Risks exposure to communicable or infectious disease and injury from performance of assigned duties. C.Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change) and to atmospheric conditions (one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin:
fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Clinical ActivitiesA.
Functions as HRMC Clinic Physician performs responsibilities and duties as follows:
b. Reports to the medical staff on pertinent clinical aspects of the clinic's performance;
c. Advises the clinic director and acts as liaison to the medical staff, committees, patients and others. *(MS)
B.
Provides responsibility for quality of medical care rendered to patients by:
Conducts professional services in accordance and compliance with any and all applicable laws, regulations, ethical, professional and licensure standards, and all applicable standards established form time to time by third-party payors.

Fulfills all duties required by and remaining subject to and abiding by the Bylaws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and practices of HRMC and HRMC's medical staff at all times.
(EA)E. Complies with all employee policies and procedures and cooperates with HRMC in establishing and abiding by work schedules. (EA)
F.
Documents medical care provided in accordance with HRMC policy and Medical Staff Bylaws/Rules and Regulations by:

Accepts patients regardless of payment source and agrees to treat Medicaid and Medicare patients and take all actions necessary to participate in all insurance plans and healthcare plans as directed by HRMC.

J. Assists other staff willingly. *(PP)

Works with and through the Administration and/or Clinic Director to:
D. Recommends clinical privileges for clinic staff. (MS)
E. Provides appropriate on-site medical supervision and direction to all non-physician personnel in the clinic. (EA)
F. Organizes time effectively to meet clinic administrative needs. (PP)
G.
Consults with HRMC in the determination and selection of equipment reasonably required for the operation of the clinic and assists HRMC in inspection and evaluation of all equipment to assure it is maintained in a usable condition.
(EA)H. Consults with HRMC with respect to requisitions for supplies and support services to appropriate HRMC management personnel. (EA)
I. Immediately forwards and assigns all payments for professional services received by Physician to HRMC. (EA)
J. Reviews patient satisfaction survey results as a measure of customer satisfaction with HRMC Clinic. (PP)
K. Performs other duties as assigned. (PP)
B. Maintains absolute confidentiality of information in accordance with hospital's policies and procedures. (PP)
C. Presents professional appearance and demeanor. (PP)
B. Communicates with and maintains effective working relationships with physicians to develop support for departmental programs. (PP)
