Provide direct supervisor to employees assigned to distribution center in conjunction with Assistant Operations Manager and Operations Leads. Duties include assisting with execution of logistics, recycling, and salvage operations including vendor and commercial sales. The Operations Supervisor will be directly responsible for employee payroll, schedule management, and providing feedback for performance evaluations. Operations Supervisors may be tasked to provide training.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned operations at distribution center which include recycling, dock, and transportation. Monitor equipment status, repairs, maintenance, and safety within the distribution center.
  • Ensure tasks between geographically separate locations are properly completed.
  • Develop, evaluate, and counsel assigned employee(s).
  • Direct, supervise, and coordinate staff activities to meet goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate staffing, equipment, and inventory information.
  • Maintain a professional work environment and appropriate standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization of both fleet and warehouse operations.
  • Lead, guide, and develop Operations Team and model expected behavior for staff.
  • Maintain a positive, teamoriented relationship with management, peers, and subordinates.
  • Maintain good communications and positive team atmosphere.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities over the lead(s), material handlers, and forklift operators assigned to Post-Retail.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Work a flexible schedule in support of the store opening, production, and closing operations including work on weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in logistics, recycling, or similar field.
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to follow directions well and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers in a friendly and engaging way.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a nonclimatecontrolled environment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours per 8 hour shift).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
