PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To collaborate closely with staff, parents, and community members to establish shared educational goals and objectives for an effective Montessori and project-based educational program catering to the intellectual, emotional, and social needs of each student; serving as the educational leader and manager of the school with direct responsibility for its administration.
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO:
Director of Compliance and Accountability
STAFF ASSIGNED:
Certificated and classified personnel
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Masters degree in a related field preferred; California Administrative Services Credential required; Clear teaching credential desired; Minimum of five years of educational leadership experience; Montessori Teaching or Administration Certification preferred.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Includes working independently, guiding others, and managing budget expenditures that significantly impact organizational services.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Required knowledge includes business etiquette, grammar, spelling, interpersonal skills, personnel administration practices, safety procedures, and Montessori Method and Project Based Learning. Ability to schedule activities, analyze data, work with diverse individuals, problem-solve, and adapt to changing priorities. Must exhibit attention to detail, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be adaptable to various indoor and outdoor settings; involves physical demands like lifting, walking, and standing. Requires sitting for extended periods, operating office equipment, and attending evening and weekend events. Travel within and outside school boundaries may be necessary for meetings or events.
