Tasks and Process

As an electronics technician for industrial engineering, you will install our electronic operating and production systems. Your tasks also include commissioning, maintenance and repair of such systems, as well as checking switch and control systems and programming, configuring and testing the systems. In the first part of your apprenticeship, you will receive a broad foundation of knowledge and skills. You will learn how to calculate, dimension, build and measure electronic circuits. Later on, you will deepen your knowledge and skills in various departments.

Requirements and duration of apprenticeship

To be eligible for the apprenticeship, you need to have a high school diploma or equivalent with good grades in mathematics, German, and physics, as well as an interest in technology and manual dexterity. The regular apprenticeship lasts for 3.5 years. With good theoretical and practical performance during your apprenticeship or with a corresponding school education, you can be granted early admission to the IHK final exam. This
