    Department Information
    The Enterprise Innovation Institute, is Georgia Techs economic development arm, comprised of more than a dozen programs. It is the largest and most comprehensive university-based program of its kind in the United States. Its core focus areas include entrepreneurship and startup development, business and industry growth, ecosystem development, and international outreach.

    The EI2 Global (formerly Innovation Ecosystems) helps governments, communities, foundations, entrepreneurs, and small businesses foster value creation by applying innovative ideas, technology, and policy to initiatives focused on economic growth.

    Areas of expertise include entrepreneurial ecosystem development, business incubation and commercialization, strategic planning, and economic sustainability.

    Innovation Ecosystems helps clients make the right decisions to manage growth, create jobs, become more competitive, and increase benefits to the residents they serve.

    Job Summary


    Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing program for an academic or support unit in ways that promote recognition and visibility of specific services and/or facilities being offered by that unit.

    Areas of responsibility usually include budgeting, development of marketing collateral and website design and management.

    This position will interact on a consistent basis with:

    unit management and staff, GT Communications and Marketing staff, and vendor representatives.

    Responsibilities

    Job Duty 1 -Formulate specific marketing plans that effectively promote unit product or services.

    Job Duty 2 -Directly or through others, design and develop marketing collateral.

    Job Duty 3 -Develop and upon approval, administer unit's marketing budget.

    Job Duty 4 -Develop and monitor adherence to unit marketing policy and procedures.

    Job Duty 5 -Liaise with GT Marketing and Communications organization; adhere to Institute wide marketing policy.

    Job Duty 6 -May manage development and placement of external advertising.

    Job Duty 7 -May design, purchase and maintain inventory of promotional items.

    Job Duty 8 -Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    Educational Requirements
    Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Required Experience
    Two years of job related experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    Preferred Education:
    Bachelor's degree; at least 5-7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

    Preferred Skills:
    Proven experience in global marketing or multicultural marketing strategies.
    Fluency in Spanish language (reading and writing).
    Experience in Canva (or similar tool), MailChimp (or other email marketing tool), Salesforce (or similar CRM), WordPress, Google Analytics

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities


    SKILLS
    Application of marketing theory and principles, written and spoken communications, graphic design and production,

    editing, creativity, web design, budget management, organization, customer relations.

    Faculty:
    accrual 14 hours a month (21 days per year, up to 45 days may be carried over at year-end)

    Staff:
    Less than 5 years: 15 days

    5-less than 10 years: 18

    Sick time accrual 8 hours a month (8 days per year, do not expire at year-end)

    10 paid national holidays (including Juneteenth) plus Thanksgiving includes off Thursday and Friday, and there is entire week of winter break with a campus shut down which includes 5 business days off paid- depending on calendar year might have Christmas or New Year included, if not, those paid holidays as well) this does not count against vacation time.

    After 6 months of full-time employment, eligible for Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
    After 12 months of full-time employment eligible for Staff Tuition Reimbursement Assistance Program (STRAP)

    Other information for the marketing manager includes:
    Being responsible for developing the strategy and delivering on the execution of the individual program marketing plans.
    Conducting market research and analysis and establishes data management and tracking systems to improve the unit's marketing efforts.

    Analyzing marketing data, track campaign performance, and provide regular reports including proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms, or data visualization tools.

    Initiating and implementing direct outreach marketing efforts to potential external customers on behalf of the unit's programs.
