**Operations Supervisor

Los Angeles, CA**As an Operations Supervisor, a key member of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen operations team, you will support the General Manager in our highproductivity Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).

Job Description:

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Oversee operations at Wallenius Wilhelmsen's Vehicle Processing Center.
Lead continuous process improvements to achieve a safe and cost efficient work environment that meets performance targets.
Responsible for promoting and helping develop a culture of a safe work environment for all employees and visitors through compliance with the WWS Health & Safety.
Within your area of responsibility, investigate any accidents, incidents and/or near misses, to ensure actions are taken to prevent future incidents. Lessons learned are documented, shared and all reporting is completed timely and accurately.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of current practices.
Coordinate with leads to ensure organization of daily work for the crew.
Foster an environment of positive employee relations and employee involvement.
Perform corrective actions if needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Willing to work long hours and weekends as required.
Must be able to identify and anticipate operational needs as well as make recommendations for implementations.

Job Requirements:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

3 or more years supervisory experience in manufacturing or logistics
Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
Solid understanding of revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results
Familiarity leading continuous process improvements
Experience with SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, and 5S

12 years' experience in an automotive or distribution environment
