    Description

    **Merchandise Planner**

    at Rocksbox San Francisco Rocksbox is looking for a Merchandise Planner to create and execute sales and inventory plans for our jewelry assortment. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starting, sharply analytical problem-solver with proven business acumen. This position will report to the SVP of Merchandising.

    **Responsibilities**

    Build strategic seasonal and annual plans to maximize sales, inventory, and margin using historical data and trends

    Forecast monthly in season sales, receipts, and inventory needs. Present financial plans and receipt recommendations in open-to-buy meetings to the leadership team.

    Create daily sales forecasts each month and review business performance vs forecast.

    Analyze product performance to identify opportunities and risks to the financial plan. Provide analysis and actionable recommendations to the merchandising team to improve product performance.

    + Weekly report out of business by channel to leadership. Including recommendations and actions needed.

    + Actively participate in line adoption supplying support with line analysis: example pricing roll up, color break down, silhouette percentages.

    Recommend promotional and markdown pricing by evaluating sales, inventory, sell thru, and margin

    Partner with finance and analytics teams on business analysis and reporting

    Ad hoc data analysis to support the team in making informed business decisions and strategies

    **Requirements**

    BA/BS degree and 2+ years work experience preferred (e-commerce, planning, or buying a plus)

    Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills

    Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly

    Financial and business acumen: ability to accurately evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to identify opportunities and drive results

    Demonstrates strong listening, written, and oral communication skills

    Strong organizational and time management skills

    Excellent attention to detail

    Results oriented and self motivated with a strong sense of urgency
