- Handle all emergencies presented to the Emergency Room. Stabilize the patient, examine and diagnose the patient to determine seriousness of illness or trauma.
- Educate individuals in the nature of health-related conditions, recommend therapy and in the general promotion of health and the prevention of disease.
- Records patient-provider transactions in the problem-oriented medical record format and completes required data collection instruments, referrals and medical records as required. Record patient progress in health record.
- Participates in medical staff functions such as medical program review, quality assurance activities, and organizational functions including attending meetings and accepting committee assignments.
