- Provides direct oversight of the credentialed medical and dental staff as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the service unit. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Participates int he activities of various service unit (hospital) committees including: Executive Leadership Team, Governing Board and Medical Staff.
- Maintain currency with Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act-Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act Laws.
- Makes preliminary diagnosis, directs, prescribes or provides treatment, or arranges for specialized care or patient referral.
- Responsible to see that the medical staff meets all requirements for accreditation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Join Commission (TJC).

The position is located in the Clinical Services Department. Location of services are onsite at the hospital. This position is not eligible for telework or remote work.
