Description

Our West Nassau Community Residence for adults who suffer from persistent mental illness is seeking an Part-Time, Overnight Residential Counselor.

The residential program assists its residents in learning the skills necessary to move on to a more independent living environment.


_ Responsibilities_

  • Nightly medication management count.
  • Maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and upkeep of the house during shift.
  • Maintain all necessary agency and regulatory paperwork.
  • Ensure that the program and the residence are operating in compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements including conducting security checks and fire drills.
  • Provide counseling and supervision to residents as needed.
  • Ensure the Medication Management and Training procedures are properly followed.

Qualifications_**- HS diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Minimum 1year of experience working with adolescents in a residential setting.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License

Schedule_: _**Friday and Saturday 11pm-7am
