- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Rules and Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Recruit, select, train, coach, counsel, recognize and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce excellence in business operations and guest service.
- Analyze markets and vendor conditions for quality, availability, and price of materials.
- Develops and implements purchasing procedures in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
- Review current accruals and follow up on supplier invoices.
- Prepare instruction/procedure manuals as required to assist departments with all new systems and policies.
- Develop, update, maintain and enforce purchasing policies and procedures.
- Review bids and quotations obtained by self or by purchasing staff and make selections and recommendations.
- Prepare detailed reports regarding all aspects of the procurement process as required.
- Assist in the preparation of the department budget.
- Provide detailed analysis and implementation for all special projects as required to improve productivity and increase effectiveness while cutting costs.
- Stay abreast of current trends and practices within the area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports, and employees as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
- Safeguard the confidential information of all employees, department, and company records.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
- Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
- Promptly perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of an associate degree and five or more years of purchasing management experience preferably in gaming and/or hospitality environment.
- Ability to obtain a gaming license.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong working knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting techniques, operational systems, and warehouse management.
- Inquisitive, detail-oriented with strong quantitative analytical skills and an innovative problem-solving approach.
- Must be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from vendors, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
- Excellent MS Office (Excel, MSQuery, Access, PowerPoint) capabilities required
- Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
- Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm while projecting a professional appearance and demeanor.
