Who We Are:


Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs.

With three residential locations - the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents.

The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum.

In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

The Group Home Manager is a Case Manager for 16 clients. Responsible for insuring active treatment services for all clients, supervising facility active treatment programs. Work closely with parents, departments and agencies to insure services are received in a timely manner.

Is responsible for the supervision of staff members assigned to that 16 bed home to give total care to those residents.

This position works with staff, parents and regulatory bodies to ensure all appropriate measures are taken in relation to client care.


Responsibilities include:


  • Accountability for the management of designated 16 bed home
  • Monitor daily and monthly schedules of all direct care staff of designated 16 bed home and adjusts when necessary in the absence of MHC scheduler
  • Monitors the performance of direct reports and provides timely and appropriate feedback regarding performance issues an works with employees to enhance work performance
  • Ensure delivery of quality care by coordinating and evaluations the total life integration services provided.
  • Develop, train, and implement Individual Program Plans for each client on caseload.
  • Hold Interdisciplinary Team Meetings annually or more frequently as needed to review progress/regression, make needed changes in client programs.
  • Complete comprehensive quarterly summaries for each client, monitor progress or regression in goals including continuous data evaluations each month.
  • Supervision of PSPs regarding implementation of active treatment programming and documentation.
  • Attend meetings regarding clients, including appointments or conferences with parents as needed.
  • Obtain any items needed by client including but not limited to clothing, equipment, and toys.
  • Attend outings or special events as needed.
  • Maintain facility active treatment program in compliance with IDPA/IDPH regulations by completing necessary paperwork and training.
  • Monitor, implement, and/or change any and all behavior programs and safety devices as necessary.
  • Inservice appropriate staff members on goals, positioning, active treatment, and equipment weekly.

Experience and Skills:


  • Bachelors degree in Social Services related field
  • Must meet qualifications for QIDP training in the state of IL.
