Job Summary:
The Driver / Vehicle Manager is a crucial dual role responsible for the operation and management of the campaign vehicle for the Show Up Strong '24 campaign.
This position involves safely driving the vehicle to various event locations, managing all aspects of vehicle maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and insurance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Operation:
- Safely drive the campaign vehicle to and from various event locations in Philadelphia.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of campaign materials at each location.
- Ensure timely arrival and proper setup at designated sites for optimal campaign impact.
- Document the vehicle's mileage at the start and end of each shift for accurate gas reimbursement.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Management:
- Oversee and manage the maintenance of the campaign vehicle, including regular checks and servicing to ensure optimal operation.
- Handle all vehiclerelated documentation, ensuring that the vehicle is registration & insurance inside the vehicle at all times, titled, and adequately insured.
- Record and submit any parking tickets and parking costs for reimbursement.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate the logístical aspects of vehicle usage within the campaign, planning routes and schedules to maximize campaign exposure and effectiveness.
- Communicate effectively with the campaign team about vehicle availability and scheduling.
- Team Support:
- Support the campaign team in various roles as needed, including participating in team meetings and training sessions.
- Engage with the public in a friendly and informative manner when required, assisting with campaign activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance and management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact positively with the team and public.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further training or certification in automotive maintenance is a plus.
Compensation:
- Hourly Wage: $2025 per hour.
