    JOB SUMMARY


    We seek an experienced Concrete Estimator to help expand our successful concrete company into the commercial sector and new markets.

    This role will play an integral part of our company working throughout the northern Texas region. The estimator role must be able to read civil drawings and establish proper scope of work and quantities. Create concise and accurate takeoff and estimates for current and future projects. Build lasting relationships with commercial General Contractors to ensure future project procurement for years to come.

    PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Procure commercial concrete contracts and grow the pipeline of work for the company.

    Research and qualify potential bidding opportunities.

    Identify scop items completely and accurately, including a risk narrative.

    Develop a project schedule based on crew makeup/equipment and formwork choices/job costing analysis.

    Review project plans and specifications to interpret and determine scope of work and required contents of estimates.

    Utilize Stack software to conduct takeoffs and quantify project components based on plans and specs.

    Work with the sales and estimating team to build the project estimate and proposal for submittal.

    Assist in the preparation of a preliminary project schedule based on the information provided in the plans and specifications.

    Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers about resources needed for project and price accordingly.

    Build and maintain great relationships with commercial General Contractors.

    Review pricing and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers for completeness and accuracies.

    Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to general contractors.

    Participate in project handoff meetings with manager and field supervisors.

    REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

    Ability to use the takeoff software Stack.

    Must have proficient knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.

    A history of successful large-scale projects as a tradesman, estimator, or field manager.

    A positive attitude and an ability to work well under pressure and with others on the team.

    Ability to work extended hours when required.

    Great verbal and written communication skills.

    SCHEDULE, PAY & BENEFITS

    Pay is negotiable depending on experience.

    Huge earning potential from commissions.

    Company cell phone & computer.

    Schedule is Monday through Friday.

    Health & Dental after waiting period.

    Paid Vacation.

    Paid Holidays.
