- Monitors and analyzes finished goods inventory levels, inventory status, inventory availability and inventory movements to ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs.
- Maintains and updates inventory system to ensure accuracy.
- Works with Quality Assurance (QA) and Sales to ensure that holds are timely released and Sales is aware when product is ready and available to ship.
- Reviews inventory aging status to ensure adherence to FIFO; notifies management of issues immediately.
- Identifies slow or not moving Item Codes and communicates to Sales Group and management immediately.
- Associate's degree in management, production operations, supply chain and distribution, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred; or, any combination of training, experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position.
- 3 years' experience in inventory, manufacturing and distribution operations environment; food production and seasonal production experience preferred.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word; knowledge of PeopleSoft EMS desirable.
- Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with ability to work in fast-paced, high output environment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, and to work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation's discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to be an integral part of the warehouse operations team managing details of finished goods inventory ensuring that product on hold, aging inventory, and allocated inventory is reviewed constantly. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining processes and procedures to ensure accurate and productive work activities for this area. Communicates with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to ensure that inventory is ready for distribution at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA.
