    School Registered Nurse (RN) Tampa, FL

    A School Registered Nurse (RN) position has opened in our school district. We are currently sourcing for candidates who are interested in the following setting. You will play a pivotal role in promoting the health and wellness of our students and staff while ensuring a positive and healthy school environment.

    Job Description:
    We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a School Nurse. In this role, you will serve the entire school building, providing essential health services and promoting the well-being of our students. The ideal candidate will have previous school-based nursing experience, and a passion for supporting the health and safety of students in a high school setting.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Nursing
    • Must have Florida RN/Compact License
    • Must be CPR and BLS certified
    • Previous experience in school setting required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct nursing care to students and staff as needed, including assessment, first aid, and emergency response.
    • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
    • Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents/guardians and healthcare providers.
    • Respond to health-related emergencies and provide appropriate interventions and follow-up care.
    • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, counselors, and other staff members to promote a healthy and safe school environment.
    • Educate students and staff on health-related topics and promote wellness initiatives within the school community.
