As an educator, you support children and adolescents in becoming strong individuals. You take your kindergarten group to the forest playground to promote mobility and coordination. Or you play Memory with them and train their concentration skills. When you start a song together, you create a great atmosphere, but also expand the children's vocabulary.


Handling emotions is also an important skill to learn: you praise, comfort, or mediate a dispute over a sandbox shovel.

You give teenagers tips on how to solve a school or personal problem with parents or friends.

Aside from parents, educators are the most important role models for children and adolescents. As a role model, you shape their personality and support their personal development according to their age.

To do this, you create individual development plans in exchange with parents and team colleagues and independently implement them in pedagogical measures.

You apply your knowledge directly in practice from the beginning.

Under supervision, you care for children and adolescents in kindergartens, after-school care centers, or youth homes - for several weeks during the first two years of training and as a several-month internship in the third year of training.

This not only deepens your acquired knowledge, but also gives you an insight into possible fields of work and allows you to make valuable contacts for your career entry.
