Location:


The Compliance Manager must currently live in or be willing to relocate to Texas, with preference for one of our regions in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, or Tarrant County.

  • Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $74,764 and $87,1000, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on organizational performance and goal attainment.

Accountabilities:

  • Evaluate current internal and external monitoring process to identify gaps and provide recommendations for course correction
  • Lead the efforts in the creation of a department audit readiness manual that depicts all steps necessary for the internal audit schedule and external audit
  • Prepare and present quarterly compliance to IDEA leaders
  • Write and submit Corrective Action Plans as appropriate to local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
  • Meet with functional departments to provide status updates of past, current or upcoming audits and ensure the next steps are being met by the respective deadline
  • Glean and cascade information and/or changes in respective state and federal guidelines internally to appropriate department or senior leadership
  • Design mechanisms to stress test internal processes and procedures to ensure they meet local, state, and federal guidelines
  • Support in leading CNP in successful new state/region program launch with review of all necessary documentation, updates as necessary, and coordination between campus leadership and CNP leadership so there is open communication and transparency
  • Create and or refine standard operating procedures and training to ensure they are relevant and current
  • Glean information and training from state entities to implement at the district level
  • Work with both headquarters and campus teams to demonstrate continuous improvement in the areas of program compliance, pilots, projects, initiatives, and priorities.

Required Skills/Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of federal and state audit processes for internal, external, single audits and state audit reviews
  • Strong computer literacy is required with a hyperfocus on the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of budget creation to ensure that programs are costeffective, funds are managed prudently, and expenses follow federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex documents and policies.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability; takes initiative in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Business awareness and knowledge of management practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills and ability to internalize feedback.
  • Strong character to implement policy & procedures.
  • Ability to work irregular hours during peak times throughout the year.
  • Ability to handle 20% of travel within the state and other states where IDEA Public Schools has a presence.
  • Demonstrate problemsolving, adaptability, and flexibility; can reprioritize workload due to inclement weather, schedule changes, and any other potential setback
  • Can work independently with little direction.
Required Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Administration, Nutrition, Business Management, or related.
  • Experience: a minimum of five (5) years of experience directly related to state and federal school nutrition programs such as the USDA National School Lunch Program, National School Breakfast Program and the Child and Adult Care Food Program
