Laboratory Aide - Tarrytown, United States - Bridge Dermpath

Bridge Dermpath is a physician-owned practice that specializes in the field of dermatopathology. Our state-of-the-art laboratory is located in Tarrytown, NY. This position is full-time with a work schedule of Monday-Friday from 7:00am until 3:30pm.


Responsibilities:

• Completion of lab QC in timely manner
• Daily maintenance of cleanliness and neatness of Lab and break room
• Unpacking laboratory supplies
• Proper handling and disposal of chemical waste, heavy lifting involved
• File formalin bottles
• Immediate notification to supervisory personnel of malfunctioning instrumentation
• Assist embedders with cleaning blocks and printing slides
• Timely distribution of completed patient materials to assigned pathologist
• Immediate notification of existing and/or potential problems to the proper authority.
• Other related assignments given by supervisor.

Job Requirements:


Education:

High School diploma or GED


Work Experience/Physical Requirements:

1. 1+ years Laboratory experience

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks at once
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
