Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Gather data and File third party property damage claims, third party injury claims, automobile accident claims, property claims, and workers compensation claims with the carrier.
  • Attend all claims reviews, track action items and provide followup reports.
  • Work with director of risk, claims manager, and legal counsel on litigated claims.
  • Maintain a temporary disability log.
  • Contact claimants weekly.
  • Interact with claimants to ensure expeditious results.
  • Maintain internal claims logs and claims tracking system
  • Arrange and process payment of the claims with the insurance carriers and/or claimants as well as legal invoices
  • Generate report on claim activity, trends and patterns
  • Engage claimants,
    ACCO Employees, and
    ACCO Management to investigate claims.
  • Update internal claims with Insurance Carrier Loss Runs
  • Collecting evidence such as witness statements, receipts, photographs, etc. that support a claim.
  • Serve as a resource to other departments on claimsrelated matters.
  • Other tasks and duties assigned by management.

Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, etc.)
:


  • Demonstrated proficiency in insurance claims administration or office administration spanning over 2 years.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or Insurance Certification preferred.
  • Possess strong investigative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capable of generating comprehensive reports and adept at data analysis for executive management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and enjoy interpersonal interactions.
  • Familiarity with claims processing procedures.
  • Additional relevant skills, work experience, or certifications are welcomed.

  • The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is regularly required to walk and sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (for purposes of filling photocopiers/printers).
  • As the employee maintains and orders supplies to the Project Group, the employee is occasionally required to reach above shoulder height to access storage cabinets and mail cubicles.
  • Regular and routine attendance, occasional mandatory overtime will be required.

Hours:

This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday.

Work hours begin and end between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks.

Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs


Travel:0- 5% only as needed to collaborate with leadership partners and teams.
