Description
Minimum QualificationsPossession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorder.
Substitutions: a bachelor's degree in nursing may substitute for one year of post licensure clinical nursing experience; and a master's degree in nursing may substitute for two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience required for Registered Nurse 2 (Psychiatric).
Duties Description
As a Registered Nurse 2 (Psychiatric), you would provide clinical consultation and training on all aspects of psychiatric nursing; and plans, supervises, and provides nursing care to individuals with mental illness in facilities and programs operated by the Office of Mental Health.

Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 ($72,032), an Increase Hiring Rate ($9,688), Geographic Pay Differential ($20,000) and the posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($91,381) and Geographic Pay Differential ($20,000).
Additional Compensation May Apply Based On Shift Assignment.
