Who We Are:

At Point Quest Pediatrics, our focus is on providing valuable and functional behavioral, mental health, and speech and language services to students aged 5 to 22 years.

We aim to empower each student with the necessary skills and strategies to excel in their academic program in the most inclusive environment possible. Partnering with school districts, we assist in serving students qualifying for services and assessments as per their Individualized Education Plans (IEP).


Purpose of the position:

As a Behavioral Aide, you will work under general supervision, supporting at-risk or disabled children in a school setting.


Job Group Classification:
Pediatrics

Overtime Status:
Non-Exempt

Salary Range:
$20-$23 per hour

Travel:

Individuals in this role should be prepared to work at different school sites or with different students each day within a 25-30 minute radius from the region.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the teacher in executing students' Individual Education Plans (IEP)
  • Implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP)
  • Provide instructional assistance in specified content areas
  • Manage classroom and social behavior systems, guiding students back to tasks promptly
  • Handle crisis situations and apply appropriate intervention techniques
  • Maintain a safe and orderly school environment
  • Supervise students during breaks and lunchtime
  • Assist with daily activities such as eating, restroom use, and classroom transitions
  • Organize and engage in recreational activities
  • Demonstrate ABA methodologies to manage student behaviors
  • Ensure student safety and whereabouts, especially during transitions
  • Record accurate data on student progress and behavior
  • Collaborate with staff on student status and behavior planning
  • Support colleagues in their work activities as needed
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and directives from Lead Aide or Supervisors
  • Fulfill other assigned responsibilities

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a school or treatment setting for students with disabilities
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
  • Pro-Act, CPI, and/or CPR certification beneficial

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Occasional exposure to environmental elements
  • Physical requirements include various activities and ability to lift weight
  • Normal range of vision and hearing needed
  • Moderate to high noise level
