Description
A Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company in Canton, Massachusetts is looking for a Human Resources Supervisor.

The Human Resources Supervisor will help develop policy and directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists in overseeing HR functions.
  • Maintains length of service records, and distributes service awards as earned; makes recommendations to enhance or improve the program.
  • Helps to develop and maintains the Drug Free workplace Program. Implements the drug screening and testing program.
  • Orientation and inservice workshops.
  • Meets with employees and/or management to resolve employee relations issues.
  • Administers the leaves of absence program ensuring documentation is completed.
  • Performs such functions as developing sources of qualified applicants, conducting screening interviews, administering tests, checking references and background, evaluating applicant qualifications, making employment offers, and arranging for initial orientation and training of newly hired employees.
  • Prepares new hire paperwork and inputs new hire information into the computer system.
  • Maintains the new hire orientation program.
  • Develops sources of qualified applicants, conducts screening interviews, administers tests, checks references and background, evaluates applicant qualifications, and arranges for initial orientation and training of newly hired employees.
  • Keeps records and prepares statistical reports concerning recruitment, interviews, hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Makes recommendations to management for improvement of organization's employment policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Writes directives advising department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
  • Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
  • Maintains a human resources system that meets top management information need
  • Coordinate with Amphastar Corporate HR department

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Sunshine Act


Armstrong reports payments and other transfers of value to health care providers as required by federal and state transparency laws and implementing regulations.

These laws and regulations require Armstrong to provide government agencies with information such as a health care provider's name, address and the type of payments or other value received, generally for public disclosure.

Subject to further legal review and statutory or regulatory clarification, which Armstrong intends to pursue, reimbursement of recruiting expenses for licensed physicians may constitute a reportable transfer of value under the federal transparency law commonly known as the Sunshine Act.

Therefore, if you are a licensed physician who incurs recruiting expenses as a result of interviewing with Armstrong that we pay or reimburse, your name, address and the amount of payments made currently will be reported to the government.
