- Client Support
- Lead meetings with clients, including negotiating, selling lines of insurance, and renewal meetings at client locations.
- Responsible for providing comprehensive client support and acting as the main client contact for the book of business.
- Effectively manage difficult client communications, including loss of coverage, claim denials, unfavorable underwriting, and other challenging renewal scenarios.
- Account Management
- Negotiate and sell lines of insurance to clients to round out accounts as appropriate. May design client insurance and risk management plans as assigned and directed by Agency management.
- Own all audit, review, and claims processes for assigned book of business.
- Analyze data to draft client service plans, stewardship reports, and other meaningful reports tailored to the client's needs and the presentation's circumstances.
- Insurance Expertise
- Manage and develop strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel.
- Skilled at forecasting industry trends to predict needed changes in client strategies.
- Review changes in carrier offerings and policies and relay information to the larger service team and directly to clients, in addition to cross-selling other lines of business.
- Leadership
- Mentor or lead the work of more junior team members.
- Facilitate and collaborate with the account team on the agency's renewal strategy.
- Client Strategy
- Create complex risk-management strategies for accounts and other team members to attract and retain large client accounts.
- Partner with industry and carrier experts to deliver strategy and solution options to clients and the broader agency.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Some travel may be required.
- 3 years of related Personal Lines experience is required.
- High Net Worth Insurance experience required
- Applied EPIC experience is preferred.
- Current Property and Casualty license required; professional designations preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of available personal line coverages based on business classification and informed on industry trends and client retention strategies.
- Highly developed problem-solving and solution-design skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership through client support and advocacy skills, as well as the mentoring and guidance of more junior employees
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software
- Skilled in the use of agency management software with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
