Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
  • Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
  • Utilize medical billing software to process claims
  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim denials or discrepancies
  • Maintain patient billing records and respond to patient inquiries regarding billing issues

Experience:


  • Proficiency in medical billing systems and software
  • Knowledge of ICD10, ICD9, DRG, and medical coding principles
  • Experience working in a medical office setting
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of medical billing procedures and regulations
  • Ability to interpret EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines and requirements for claim submission
