Position: Technology Sourcing & Vendor Management Analyst

Work Location: New York, NY 10019

Number of days in the office: Two – Tuesdays and any other work day of choice

This is a 6 month contract to hire role

Overview: The role of Technology Sourcing & Vendor Management Analyst is crucial in ensuring the advantages gained from our strategic partnerships with technology collaborators and suppliers. This position provides the opportunity to engage with a variety of business stakeholders across sectors such as media, healthcare, and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement: Identify, assess, and procure technology-related products and services essential for our organizational operations.
Perform comprehensive modeling: Evaluate project costs and benefits using standard methodologies, including analyzing historical price trends, total cost of ownership, should-cost modeling, Benchmarking, and more to guarantee optimal value delivery for our organization.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to grasp market dynamics, conduct negotiations, and maintain standards while ensuring cost-efficiency.
Global Technology Negotiations: Lead negotiations for extensive technology agreements covering IT commodities like hardware, software, cloud, and managed services. Aim for cost savings, favorable payment terms, and additional value from vendor contracts.
Vendor Management Tools Oversight: Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of Vendor Management tools such as Salesforce and SharePoint, crucial for negotiation and process management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in technology procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing within the tech sector.
Understanding of financial accounting, pricing, strategic sourcing, and vendor management principles
Exceptional negotiation, analytical, communication, and presentation skills
Thorough knowledge of IT products, services, and market trends.
Ability to cultivate strong relationships with business partners and key vendors.
Strategic mindset and dedication to efficiency, simplification, and excellent outcomes.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel for RFx modeling and financial analysis.
Technology-savvy to utilize eProcurement and eSourcing tools like Oracle, Spend Analysis tools, Salesforce, among others.
Competence in contract management and evaluation methodologies.
Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects related to procurement.
Capable of excelling in a fast-paced, target-driven, and time-critical environment.
Familiarity with various Technology vendor concepts, practices, and procedures.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Senior Director of the Technology Sourcing & Vendor Management team. Key relationships:
Business Unit IT Senior Level Customers, HTS Leadership, Finance, Legal, Corporate Procurement, and Asset Management
