Greenspring Montessori School is seeking a
Floating Classroom Assistant for the school year to support Montessori classrooms for students ages 18 months through 14 years.

The Floating Assistant supports a classroom when a staff member is absent and assists in our after-school program.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepare the classroom environment
• Manage the "flow" of the classroom
• Support children in their own resolution of conflicts and concerns
• Be a role model for children in speech, tone, demeanor, and actions
• Serve as a record keeper of the work children are engaged in and children's social interactions
• Help set up for nap and lunch
• Supervise recess
• Support dismissal
• Assist with cleaning
• Assist with toileting (with toddlers)

The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am

• June). Summer opportunities are also available. Hourly pay rate is $17.00.
