We are seeking a
Transportation Coordinator to join our federal team at our
York, PA location. The Transportation Coordinator manages daily inbound and outbound shipping transactions and ensures all required documentation is complete and accurate.

As a
Transportation Coordinator, you will:

Â

  • Executes shipping requests for domestic and international shipments.
  • Manages carrier relationships.
  • Manages shipping paperwork/documentation, to include all government documentation requirements.
  • Continuously tracks inbound and outbound shipment status.
  • Performs ERP system transactions to record movement of material.
  • Monitors shipping supplies and place orders to replenish levels as needed.
  • Follows up with internal and external customers on shipment questions/issues (e.g. late shipments, customs clearance delays, tracking # requests, etc.).
  • Assures part orders re inspected, packed and available for customer provided transportation shipment.
  • Create the pick lists and determine priorities for packing.
  • Works on Supply Chain related projects as needed (Standard Work, Process Improvements, etc.).
  • Manages the transportation of HAZMAT, as needed.
  • Performs other supply chain administrative duties as required.
  • Participates in weekly production meetings to review statuses of each job for shortages or delayed materials which could affect (OTD) on time deliveries. Â

Required Qualifications:


  • US Citizen.
  • 35 years experience in similar role required.
Â


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Heavy manufacturing experience in a Department of Defense contractor environment highly preferred.
