- Implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
- Manage all operational purchasing teams in the division, responsible for buying direct goods and services
- Ensure purchasing teams are compliant with relevant regulations and standards
- Identify cost savings opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives
- Manage a team of procurement professionals and provide leadership and guidance to ensure that the team is working effectively and efficiently
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with business needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as necessary
- Provide regular reports to senior management on purchasing activities and performance
- Support the businesses on new product implementation (NPI) opportunities
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 10 years in a management role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Director to oversee operational purchasing across the several businesses within Lincoln Electric's Automation division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the businesses receive high quality products and services on time, at the optimal cost, the right way. She/he will influence and implement strategies, policies, and procedures (owned by centers of excellence) that cover strategic sourcing and compliance.
