We have a permanent opportunity for someone who will provide expert financial management advice to support senior managers and stakeholders with a focus on the Water & Catchments business Group. The position will also provide dedicated business and financial management support to the Water & Catchments business Group, the Finance Division as well as the broader Corporate Services Group. This role will have a formal reporting line to the Department's Finance Division and operate within the service scope agreed with the Water & Catchments Group (Office of the Deputy Secretary).

The Financial Analyst will leverage this partnership to identify funding solutions to support ongoing business initiatives, and effectively communicate the most appropriate financial management strategies to meet strategic organisational goals.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong financial and analytical capabilities, effective leadership, good communication skills and a collaborative approach in achieving divisional and group deliverables.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

An appropriate business or finance related qualification is highly desirable.

A professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA) or working towards an accounting qualification, is preferable.

A good knowledge and experience in financial analysis.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne but can also be flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
