The Information Technology department provides all IT services for the Berliner Wasserbetriebe and companies within the Berlinwasser Group. Through two modern data centers and innovative communication infrastructure, IT is steering the digital future.

What you will be doing with us:

Responsibility for the conception, construction, operation, and harmonization of the corresponding IT monitoring systems in the respective work group
IT monitoring includes infrastructure monitoring, security monitoring, log management, and IT forensics, among others, for the IT network and control networks (critical infrastructure) the goal is to detect, analyze, and defend against cyber threats
Analysis and development of security monitoring infrastructure (e.g. log/analysis servers, IDS and IPS systems, vulnerability scanners, security monitoring systems, infrastructure monitoring systems)
Administration of monitoring systems, including incident, change, and problem management

What you bring with you:

Master's degree in computer science with a focus on data science, IT security, IT forensics, big data, or a related field with a focus on IT security and network security, as well as relevant practical knowledge for the position
Alternatively: Bachelor's degree in information technology with extensive relevant practical knowledge and indepth knowledge of:
IT security;
Analysis in complex IT infrastructures;
Strategic coordination and evaluation and execution of SecOps measures;
