- Design and review architecture and technical specifications for cloud-based solutions to ensure alignment with security requirements.
- Conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability assessments of cloud infrastructures.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches in cloud environments, including intrusion detection and incident response.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate security standard methodologies into cloud development lifecycles.
- Stay ahead of with industry trends, emerging threats, and standard processes in cloud security.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security team members.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of secure DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Collaborate with cloud service providers and third-party vendors to evaluate and integrate new security technologies and features into existing cloud architectures.
- Conduct security training and awareness programs for development teams to promote a security-first culture and ensure alignment to cloud security policies.
- Lead incident response exercises and tabletop simulations to test the effectiveness of cloud security incident response plans and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of security documentation, including security playbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and security architecture diagrams for cloud environments.
- Participate in audits and compliance activities related to cloud security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Engage with regulatory compliance teams to ensure cloud environments meet industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR).
- Expertise in Cloud Security: Ability to design, implement, and maintain security solutions for cloud environments across multiple platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in security tools and technologies specific to cloud environments, scripting languages, and automation for security tasks.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to analyze complex security challenges in cloud architectures and develop innovative solutions to mitigate risks and enhance security posture.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead security initiatives, work effectively with multi-functional teams, and mentor junior team members in cloud security standard processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate security concepts, present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborate with partners at all levels.
- Strategic Thinking: Capacity to align security strategies with business objectives, anticipate future security requirements, and provide recommendations for enhancing cloud security capabilities.
- Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of industry-specific compliance requirements and experience ensuring cloud environments adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
- Proven 5+ years experience in information security, with a focus on cloud security.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security tools such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, or Google Cloud Security Command Center.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform) for security tasks in cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, encryption technologies, and identity and access management (IAM) in cloud environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or equivalent is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate sophisticated security concepts to technical and non-technical business partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
