    Wastewater Maintenance Technician (Twin Falls, ID) at Chobani in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Summary The wastewater maintenance technicians are responsible for the timely repair and preventative maintenance of wastewater plant equipment, including rotary drum screens, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps of various types, aeration blowers, motors, air compressors, and process instrumentation, to ensure compliance with relevant government issued permits.

    The role supports evaluating and documenting system equipment health. Work is performed under general oversight but requires independent judgment, forward thinking, and initiative. A thorough understanding of various types of pumps (including dosing pumps) and valves is a bonus. Qualified applicants must possess tangible experience in troubleshooting mechanical / electrical breakdowns. Technicians must follow all established safety, GMP`s and environmental standards. Adhere to all plant technical standards and company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations. Previous wastewater experience is not required. Responsibilities Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems and process chemical analyzers.

    Capable of identifying and correcting problems such as:

    electrical/control systems, (sensors, limit switches, solenoids, motors, Servos, PLC programming, PID loops, etc.) and mechanical systems (pumps, belt drives, gear reduction drives, piping, valve diagnosis and replacement, compressed air systems, etc.)

    Identify and implement safety and continuous improvements, equipment calibrations and reliability opportunities Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on motors, motor control devices, pumps, and instrumentation; following P&IDs, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications Locate sources of problems by observing equipment in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring testing instruments Control downtime by working directly with Operations during routine preventative maintenance; monitoring compliance and reporting to supervisor as necessary Provide mechanical maintenance and other general information as necessary to prevent equipment damage; answers questions to related maintenance issues Other duties as assigned Requirements 2-5 years o To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
