Summary Description:

Responsible for the assembly of quality product per design specifications and for processing associated paperwork/transactions. Ensures the adherence of abiding by assembly and testing processes while communicating progress/problems to the Site Leader.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Track inventory levels of raw material.

Ensures parts on hand for production and install.

Spot Weld as needed.

Assemble product to design specifications.

Report progress/problems to the Site Leader.

Ensure assembled product meets established quality standards.

Processes assembly paperwork/transactions to ensure proper flow of material in our Oracle System.

Submits Packing List with weights, dimensions, and quantities to Shipping personnel.

Color Code each order's cartons to differentiate the jobs to prevent mixing.

Operate pneumatic hand tools, testing equipment, and packaging equipment.

Cross train in other areas based upon manufacturing requirements.

Ability to wire motors, receptacles, switches, and lights.

Prompt regular attendance is required.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:


Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

2 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing and assembling environment.

Experience with operating hand/power tools.

Metal fabrication preferred.

Spot Welding experience preferred.

Previous experience with wiring motors, receptacles, switches, and lights.


Language Skills:

Read, write, and verbally communicate in English.


Computer Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications.

Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar inventory control system a plus.


Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

Person must be resourceful and a self-starter.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Must have experience systematizing process flows for improved efficiency.

Must be conscientious and detail minded.

Must be able to work in fast paced, quick changing atmosphere.

Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to work with mínimal supervision.

Prevent non-conforming product.

Make and implement decisions within their areas of responsibility.


Physical/Mental Demands:

Must be alert, able to concentrate, able to use good judgement and analytical skills.

Able to sit, stand and perform repetitive activities for sustained periods of time.

Uses hands to type on standard pc keyboard frequently.

Works in normally stressful environment with significant pressure.

Move about facility to interact with employees.

Multi-task on several jobs at once.

Able to climb, bend, squat, kneel occasionally.

Able to occasionally lift up to 55 lbs. with assistance.

Able to use hands to operate hand/power tools and to operate computer keyboard.

Able to read prints.

Able to use precision measurement tools.

Able to bend, squat, kneel and reach in order to retrieve and manipulate raw material.

Good understanding of electronics wiring schematics
