JOB TITLE:

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a part-time custodian who will be responsible for the appearance, cleanliness, maintenance, and security of the buildings and grounds of the Church.

We are looking forward to welcoming another responsible, pro active, efficient member to our church staff


PAY:
$15.00 per hour. This position DOES NOT offer benefits.


WORK SCHEDULE:
Part-time, 18 hour per week, no overtime available


Work Hours:

Sundays: 9am-Noon; Monday: 9am-2pm; Tuesday: 8-10am; Wednesday: 9-1pm; Thursday 8-10am and occasional additional times outside these hours, especially for snow and ice control.

Availability on Sunday mornings is required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Support our values and vision for ministry and maintain a professional attitude at all times
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality with sensitive information
• Capable of regular physical activity and able to lift 50 lbs.
• Good verbal and written skills and able to follow instructions
• 1+ years experience in various custodial functions including dusting, sweeping mopping, etc.
• Completion of a background check is required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep the building clean, attractive, and well maintained, inside and out, and security of the building and grounds. Maintain cleaning supply inventory
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, remove trash and recyclables, grounds maintenance, lawn mowing, snow removal, routine maintenance, minor repairs, and other duties as assigned.
• Occasional set up and takedown of special events
• Monitor fire extinguishers and coordinate their recharge as necessary.
• Repair or report any issues found inside and outside of the building
• Participate in staff meetings as needed
• The custodian reports to, and is supervised by, the pastor. In the absence of a pastor, the council president and the personnel committee will assume the responsibility.
