JOB SUMMARY
An independent, locally governed non-profit healthcare system in Florida is seeking a full time Operating Room Nurse. The Registered Nurse Operating Room is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in patient care situations. The ideal candidate is able to identify standards of care common to the patient population, demonstrate knowledge of medication dosages for the patient population served, evaluate outcomes of care to determine if patient needs were met, and conduct patient care and treatment using problem-solving and critical thinking skills. This role serves as a preceptor for new employees, coworkers, and students and is attentive to assignment activities while anticipating the needs of the surgeon and team members. The Operating Room Nurse should also be able to communicate with patients' families/significant others as the patient progresses through the continuum of care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Taking on-call shifts will be required.
