    Description
    As a Financial Counselor, you will be responsible for:* Verifying accurate demographic and financial information
    • Reviewing and interpreting insurance benefits
    • Providing financial counseling and screening
    • Handling charity applications and credit assessments
    • Establishing all financial arrangements and refer appropriate cases to other agencies to assist patients with discharge/post hospital care.
    • Working closely with Patient Placement, Care Coordination, Social Services, and Patient Business Services to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
    • Ability to write concise, grammatically correct reports and correspondence
    • Proficient in basic math
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook

    Salary Range:
    $ $44.42/hourly

    Qualifications We're seeking an exceptional, self-directed professional with:* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including proper phone etiquette
    • Bilingual English/Spanish abilities
    • PC proficiency and basic math knowledge
    • Working knowledge of medical terminology
    • Understanding of third-party payer relationships as well as relevant state and federal health programs
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to adapt to and implement changing registration procedures
    • Independent decision-making skills and sound judgment
