Assistant Controller
We're looking for a blooming Assistant Controller to join our ranks. As a leading solar company in Utah, thriving in both residential and commercial installations both in-state and out-of-state. We're looking for an Assistant Controller to oversee payroll, AR/AP, and commissions pay outs, while developing into the Controller role. As a thriving company, growing exponentially year over year, we're looking for a tenacious and talented person to join our team

Objectives:

Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing and reporting appropriate data points.
Ensure company's accounting is in accordance with GAAP.
Develop, implement and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
Help develop job costing for residential and commercial business.

Responsibilities:

Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
Implement new ERP system (Transition from QB Online to NetSuite).
Collaborate with CFO and establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly and annual basis.
Implement consistent accounting policies, practices and procedures across all programs- ensuring the company is in compliance with GAAP.
Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies and procedures and workflows.
Oversee payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes- responsible to calculate and pay weekly commissions.

Required skills and qualifications:

3-5 years + or more of professional accounting experience.
Experience in construction or solar install.
Experience with NetSuite

Preferred skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting or related field.
Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant).
