Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant FLOAT will assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of the physician.

They are also responsible for ensuring the well-being of patients and for providing a positive, supportive environment for patients and other staff while working in conjunction with physicians, front office and clinical staff.


  • Provide bestinclass medical assisting service to patients.
  • Drives efficient patient flow: uses eCW to update patient status throughout visit, promptly room patients, perform Patient Verification process, obtain and document vital signs, take patient photos, and turnover patient rooms.
  • Assist physician and RVTs in surgical procedures.
  • Ensure the procedure rooms are sterile and properly supplied.
  • Ensures procedure rooms are stocked appropriately and communicates with supply chain team as needed.
  • Uphold the superior standards of care outlined by United Vein & Vascular Centers.
  • Demonstrate and promote a work culture committed to UVVC's

1640 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Suite 201 Arlington Heights, IL.

  • Gurnee 200 S. Greenleaf St, Gurnee, IL 60031

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a patient care setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (AHA) or the ability to obtain within 60 days.
  • Completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
  • CMA or RMA credential preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records.
  • Familiar with medical terminology.
  • Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards.
