- Analyze aerospace products as well as equipment specifications and performance requirements
- Review/assess new technologies for application to improving design of aerospace systems
- Receive design requests and draft designs
- Work collaboratively with team members to verify efficiency and functionality of designs
- Utilize drafting tools to test and verify designs
- Research and report on new technology implementations
- Coordinate with various departments and other staff on design projects
- Generate and deliver reports to managers and senior-level officers
- Travel to conferences and meetings related to ongoing and proposed projects
- Offer troubleshooting assistance to other engineers and staff
- Experience working with in Astrophysics
- Experience with software's such as MATLAB, Python, and STK
- Experience with modeling and mathematics
- Advanced knowledge with foreign capabilities
- Knowledge in designs, development, and testing of structures and systems for aircraft, missiles, or spacecraft
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong technical writing and briefing skills

Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Aerospace Engineer to join our team supporting our government partner. This position is expected to be onsite within a government facility.
Responsibilities include:
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
PhD with 5 years' experience, Master's with 8 years' experience, or bachelor's with 10 years' experience
Must have an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Education Requirements:
Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Astrophysics
Other Requirements:
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance
Estimated Salary Range: $75,000 to $175,000 depending on experience
