Description

The Audio Visual Technician will provide sound, lighting and streaming support for meetings, class sessions, conferences, events, and theater performances.

This position will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting multimedia equipment, as well as keeping track of inventory.


Essential Duties Summary

  • Provide A/V and streaming support for events and activities throughout campus.
  • Maintain an inventory of available A/V equipment, including reports of equipment disposed.
  • Verify equipment has been returned in working order within 1 business day of return or before it is used on another event.
  • Recommend improvements and upgrades to multimedia needs of the campus.
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment to meet the manufacture requirements or if a problem with the equipment is known.
  • Setup and break down equipment before and after events.
  • Maintain and support digital signage throughout campus.
  • Assist faculty and staff with A/V issues in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain documentation of A/V setups for recurring events.

Required QualificationsPreferred Qualifications**
Education

  • Associate's degree in sound engineering, music, computer science, theater tech or other related field required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 13 years' experience with audio visual technology
  • Background in sound engineering, lighting, and presentation systems.
