Document Specialist

DEPARTMENT:
Recycling/Shredding
SHIFT: AM/PM Varies


SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Shredding & Recycling Warehouse Manager, the Document Specialist will operate a mobile truck at assigned locations to provide shredding services.

Document Specialist will follow a preplanned route according to a definite time schedule.

Document Specialist will be responsible to operate mobile shredding operations, including but not limited to, delicate handling and transporting of confidential documents or hard drives, cash handling, documenting chain of custody, professional interaction with customers, and careful operation of Shred Truck components.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must be 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Commercial License
  • First Aid, CPR, Certification
  • Must wear company issued uniform shirt and solid color shorts/pants while on clock
  • Maintain professional appearance at all times
  • Identification badge must be visible at all times
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to follow directions and execute direction diligently and efficiently
  • Sensitivity to the needs of persons with disabilities
  • Available to work various events after normal business hours and on weekends




DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be courteous and professional in conduct and appearance at all times
  • Understand and follow all iSigma regulations
  • Maintains confidentiality in accordance with iSigma guidelines
  • Responsible for having current knowledge of industry standards and requirements for secure destruction procedures compliant with iSigma regulations
  • Follow chain of custody of procedures
  • Attend all safety and required training classes
  • Follow all safety regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment
  • Complete all work orders according to schedule
  • Assume customer service/sales person duties.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Assess customers' needs and provide information on services
  • Follow route and stops as assigned
  • Ability and knowledge of mobile shredding operations to effectively answer customer questions and/or concerns
  • Process payment for shredding services, including the use of a tablet to secure SQUARE payment transactions
  • Responsible for assisting in collection of cash during special events, including weekends
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with appropriate department staff regarding any requests for service
  • Create and maintain customer relationships
  • Assist staff and individuals in the warehouse when all other necessary duties are completed
  • Operate forklift, paper/cardboard bailer, plantbased and mobile paper shredders.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure proper working order
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of each route as required by CHP regulations, complete required vehicle logs and complete vehicle condition reports on a daily basis
  • Ensure First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogen kits are full and updated, fire extinguisher (charged), reflective triangles, vehicle registration
  • Drive in a professional, safe and courteous manner at all times
  • Report in writing any mechanical problems on a pretrip and post trip inspection form
  • Ensures vehicle is fueled daily or as needed
  • Ensure vehicle is washed inside and out regularly and appearance is maintained at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Lifting and moving
  • Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Pulling and Pushing
  • Bending and crouching

Work Environment:
This position requires community driving and supervising clients in a variety of public/community settings.


Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The employee must have the ability to lift, pull, push, run and manipulate/use adaptive equipment and patients, which requires strength and gross motor and fine motor coordination. The employee must be able to perform CPR and administer First-Aid. The position requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time. The position requires ability to operate an automobile and heavy machinery. The employee must be able to climb stairs and provide services to customers in various public/community settings.

Pay:
From $21.00 per hour
