SUMMARY:
The Ward 2 Community Dining Site Activities Aide operates Iona's congregate dining site program, which typically operates from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Monday through Friday.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Activities Aide Responsibilities
- Report activities supply needs to the Community Programs Manager weekly.
- Refer concerns regarding participants to the designated Social Worker.
- Attend all staff meetings, various training and certification sessions as required.
- Maintain CPR and first aid certification.
- Encourage Ward 2 participants to engage in activities.
- Assist Community Programs Manager with implementing and delivering activities at all Ward 2 congregate dining sites.
- Lead participant engagement and group discussions with materials provided by the Around Town DC team.
On-Call Site Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for absent ward 2 dining site managers when needed.
- Operate Iona's congregate dining site.
- Complete intakes and Nutrition Screens for new participants and annual renewals.
- Adhere to DACL Standards and Guidelines for Community Dining
- Ensure that all participants sign in each day.
- Distribute handouts, menus, and activity calendars to the participants.
- Refer concerns regarding participants to the designated Social Worker.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess 1+ years of related work experience.
- Demonstrate strong relationship building and collaboration skills.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills.
- Hold CPR and first aid certifications.
- Possess ServSafe Certification.
- Bilingual proficiency preferred.
- Capable of regularly lifting, carrying, and maneuvering 25+ lbs.
- Have access to reliable transportation.
